YouTube creators for International Women's Day

For March 8th, Google has listed its top female content creators who are inspiring viewers to bring about change for equality.

With this year’s theme for IWD being “ Choose to Challenge” - be it raising awareness against bias or taking action for equality. Google have pulled together a list of their top female YouTube content creators of 2021 that have inspired them to challenge the world around them and in turn bring about change and create more gender and racial equality.

Bio: Dr Amina Yonis is a graduate from four British universities with a PhD in Cell and Cancer research. She balances being a resident teacher, scientist and lecturer at day and uploading educative content at night. Talking about YouTube, she says: “The female voice on YouTube have taught me to feel empowered, to embrace a growth mindset and to aim higher every day, in everything I do.”

  • Terri Ann’s Kitchen - “hardworking and consistent creator who makes lovely easy-to-make recipes from home and has the most kindest and sweetest voice”
  • Lydia Millen - “Highly influential who continuously bring outs authentic original content. She is classy and her work ethic is highly admirable”

  • Patricia Bright from The Break - How much money this YouTube channel earned in 1 year 3 streams of revenue  - “Patricia is always inspiring to me, not only is she juggling several businesses but she had two kids like myself. This video was particularly inspiring to me as she transparently showed how much her new YoutTube channel has achieved in 1 year. Patricia’s transparency and authenticity shows me what is possible and allows me to strive for bigger and better things!”
  • Marintia Goto-Williams - I bought a farm in Ghana at 21 years old | Farming in Ghana Episode 1 - “Marintia is 21 and just bought her first farm! Marinthia inspires as she has decided to take this unconventional leap by owning a farm whilst being at university.
