UK Afro Hairdresser of the Year 2019 – finalists announced
The UK's most prestigious hairdressing awards, the HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, announce finalists for best Afro hair stylist
The stellar line up of Britain’s best black hair stylists has been announced. Six finalists now contend for the honour of being crowned Afro Hairdresser of the Year in HJ’s BritishHairdressing Awards 2019, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.
The 4 men and 2 women named as the top afro hairdressing creatives come from around the country and impressed more than 100 industry judges with beautiful photographic hair work showing their skill and flair. These stand-out stars are:
- Lathaniel Chambers, Lathaniel’s Couture Hair and Beauty,London
- Lisa Farrall, WIG London
- Anthony Grant, Jamie Stevens Kensington Salon
- Junior Green, Junior Green London
- Aycan Kemal, New York Hair Design, London
- Rick Roberts, Rick Roberts, Beverly
Now, the finalists will submit another four images of their visionary and artistic hairdressing work in the hope of catching the judges’ imagination and hearts further, to be crowned Afro Hairdresser of the Year at the big ceremony – the Oscars of the hair world – HJ’s BritishHairdressing Awards in November 2019.
