Holland & Barrett has banned the sale of single-use sheet masks from all stores nationwide and online, and is encouraging the avoidance of all single-use beauty products.
It’s estimated that globally, one million disposable masks are thrown away every day, while 95% of beauty packaging is thrown away after just one use.
However, if you’re an avid user of masks, don’t fret! The retailer is promoting its planet-friendly alternatives, such as its natural face masks which offer the same benefits without the same level of waste.
To make a stand, 5% of all profits from the retailer’s selection of multi-use masks will go the charity Ocean Generation.
