This high street retailer is banning the sale of sheet masks
Is the era of the sheet mask coming to an end? This campaign could see them gone from drugstore shelves for good in future.
Holland & Barrett has banned the sale of single-use sheet masks from all stores nationwide and online, and is encouraging the avoidance of all single-use beauty products.
It’s estimated that globally, one million disposable masks are thrown away every day, while 95% of beauty packaging is thrown away after just one use.
However, if you're an avid user of masks, don't fret! The retailer is promoting its planet-friendly alternatives, such as its natural face masks which offer the same benefits without the same level of waste.
To make a stand, 5% of all profits from the retailer's selection of multi-use masks will go the charity Ocean Generation.
