The Ordinary launches first ever concealer
The make-up brand, famed for its affordable-but-effective products, has just introduced a new make-up product to its portfolio.
Highly rated for its efficacious skincare, The Ordinary has launched its first ever concealer.
Offering full coverage and an impressive selection of shades, the formula spreads evenly for a skin-like finish without creasing in fine lines.
The brand stated on its Instagram page, "To conceal imperfections and blemishes, and brighten the under-eye area, you may also include The (new) Ordinary Concealer, which provides a high-spreadability suspension system with very high coverage and a real skin finish that resists collecting into fine lines. Offered in 36 shades and packaged with a thin nozzle for precise application, 21 shades of The Ordinary Concealers correspond directly to the shades offered in our Colours foundations range, alongside an additional 15 shades (which will be available in Serum and Coverage Foundations later this year).
"The shades are divided into 4 categories: 1 for lighter tones, 2 for medium tones, and 3 for dark/deep tones, and 4 for deeper tones. Each category is then classified further by a second digit, from 0 to 4, to indicate depth within each category.
"Finally, a letter is added to the shade code to identify the undertone: P (Pink) and R (Red) to indicate cool undertones for lighter and darker shades respectively, N indicates a Neutral tone, and Y (Yellow) indicates a warm undertone. Each shade code has a descriptive name as well. For example, 1.2P is Light with Pink Undertones while 3.0Y is Medium Dark with Yellow Undertones.
"Three of the shades have an additional letter at the end: S indicates Silver highlights and G indicates Gold highlights. These shades use natural-looking and exceptionally fine dispersions of metallic effect pigments for added highlight and radiance."
In a bid to show inclusivity, The Ordinary has asked their followers to make shade suggestions on the brand's Instagram page.
The price of The Ordinary Concealer is £4.90 and is available at theordinary.deciem.com
