Sephora has announced its 2020 #SephoraSquad, which includes nearly two dozen black beauty influencers with followings of all sizes vying to be brand ambassadors.
The Sephora Squad initiative, now in its second year, has been advertised as a ‘different kind of beauty influencer program’ that represents a diverse range of influencers across the categories of make-up, skincare and hair.
Perks of the paid programme include professional coaching, access to networking events and the ability to test new products before they’re released to the public.
Sephora’s application called for influencers who ‘shout their triumphs and their struggles’, ‘try any trend once and not think twice about it’, and who ‘leave heart emojis and thoughtful replies’.
The influencers have shared their delight at being part of the Squad on their Instagram pages. Influencer and MUA Joie said: ‘Thanks to you all’s love and support, I am officially apart of this year’s #SephoraSquad @sephora 😭💚. This, as you may already know, means the absolute world to me and I’m beyond excited to not only take my career and craft to new heights, but to share with you all and have you along for the ride with me in the new journey’.
The Sephora Squad membership lasts 12 months, after which a new set of influencers will be picked following next year’s application.
