Rococo Chocolates joins fight against period poverty
British chocolatier Rococo Chocolates has launched an Easter egg to raise awareness and funds for the Bloody Good Period charity.
This Easter, Rococo Chocolates has created The Period Egg (£29.95) to bring awareness to the ongoing fight against period shame and poverty.
Five pounds from each sale will go towards supporting the Bloody Good Period charity, which supplies period essentials to refugees, asylum-seekers and those in need.
The Period Egg is crafted from Rococo Chocolate's Sea Salt Milk Chocolate and hidden inside are decadent Salted Caramel Truffles. To entice you further, the egg is beautifully wrapped in bright red foil and presented in a signature Rococo gift box.
The brand said on their Instagram page, 'having a period is still predominantly a taboo subject that society refuses to talk openly about; those who menstruate are made to feel embarrassed or even unhygienic for having a period. This is the stigma we’re bringing awareness to, as well as supporting Bloody Good Period in their campaign to bring an end to period poverty. Please visit Bloody Good Period’s website if you would like any more information on period shame or period poverty: bloodygoodperiod.com'.
