Beauty brand supports a worthy cause

LUSH's Charity Pot helps Masai tribes

LUSH may be well known for its bath bombs but charitable giving is also core to the brand’s ethos. Its Charity Pot hand and body lotion has undergone a recent reformulation to include fresh aloe vera leaves bought from six Maasai Women’s Aloe Groups.

While cattle rearing had been the main source of income for Maasai tribes, its women were inspired to create an alternative revenue stream following periods of drought that were debilitating their communities.

Growing this key beauty ingredient now gives them a livelihood, providing the opportunity to farm and also sell to their local market.
