Jennie Jenkins, aka Beauty by JJ, has released two compacts that cater to lighter and darker skintones. “I decided to partner with this brand because they are and have been dedicated to catering to women of colour,” she explained. “I really wanted to bring back more awareness to the brand that have continued to fully represent WoC and have stayed true to this vision as well as offering professional quality make-up and embodying a sense of elegance and luxury.”

Huda Beauty

Get ready for the ultimate insta-glow. After the release of the American mega-vlogger’s first collection, which came under scrutiny for its lack of shades for women of colour, Huda listened and acted. And this is the result. It’s a combination of warm tones, which complements darker complexions beautifully. She said: “This new palette is perfect for tan to deep skin tones and looks divine on cheekbones, collarbones, and of course, as shoulder bling. Now there’s Pink Sands for fair to medium skintones, Golden Sands for medium and tan skintones, and Bronze Sands for tan to richer skintones.”
